ACCESS THE VIRTUAL TOOL TO DETECT HATE SPEECH

VISIBILITY AND DISSEMINATION

During the dissemination phase, the vast majority of the activities and actions that were developed were aimed at disseminating the results of the project, especially the two Intellectual Output and the rest of tangible and intangible results.

We had the opportunity to show the world -through effective multipliers- the results of the project, ensuring that they are used in secondary schools throughout Europe by teachers and students, especially roma students. To this end, in the implementation phase, a series of materials, campaigns, and dissemination activities were created that not only ensured their impact and use, but also the possibility that they would be replicated freely and free of charge in other formal and non-formal educational areas.

With this, the impact of the project and its results at the European level has been very relevant, since it has reached more than 90 organizations in 29 different countries.

MULTIPLIER EVENTS

E1: MULTIPLIER EVENT

Date: June 5, 2022

Place: San Juan de Alicante (Spain)

Organizing entity: REDTREE

Brief description:

On June 5, the first on-site Multiplier Event of the project “EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION INTO DIVERSITY, FACING SCHOOL LEAVING: INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGIES TO SUPPORT ETHNIC MINORITY STUDENTS AND STOP HATE SPEECH IN EUROPE” and coordinated by Redtree was held in San Juan de Alicante.

This event focused on the presentation of the O2 Intellectual Output: “OERs: KITS AGAINST DISCRIMINATION”, as well as the rest of the project’s results, mainly R1: “VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THE DETECTION OF HARASSMENT AND HATE SPEECH IN THE CLASSROOM”.

This event was attended by experts of renowned prestige at the national and international level, who were very interested in the project’s results.

E2: MULTIPLIER EVENT

Date: May 20, 2022

Place: Mieres (Spain)

Organizing entity: FEC (Fundación por la Europa de los Ciudadanos)

Brief description:

Fundación por la Europa de los Ciudadanos held the planned on-site Multiplier Event at Teodoro Cuesta de Mieres House of Culture, on May 20, 2022.

The main objective of the event was to spread the results of the project “EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION INTO DIVERSITY, FACING SCHOOL LEAVING” among very relevant multipliers of national and international scope. This event focused specifically on publicizing the O2 Intellectual Output of the project: “OERs: KITS AGAINST DISCRIMINATION”.

Marga Ferré, leader of FEC and co-president of the European network TRANSFORM! EUROPE, was in charge of showcasing and moderating the event.

This event was specifically aimed at policy makers who can act as multipliers at all geographical levels, from the local level -such as councilmen and mayors-, to the regional level -regional congressmen-, the national level -as national congressmen and ministers-, and the European level -as European MEPs-.

E3: MULTIPLIER EVENT

Date: August 31, 2022

Place: Le Puy-en-Velay (France)

Organizing entity: GRETA DU VELAY

Brief description:

The Multiplier Event “EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION INTO DIVERSITY, FACING SCHOOL LEAVING; PRESENTATION OF THE RESULTS” was held at the educational center “Lycée Auguste Aymard”, in Le Puy-en-Velay, on August 31, 2022.

This event had a participatory format and was aimed at the Educational Community of the French region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, where Greta du Velay is based, being a region with more than 7 million inhabitants whose capital is Lyon.

Thus, the main profiles of the participating multipliers were: teachers of secondary schools in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, members of the management team of educational centers, trainers, education professionals, pedagogical innovation leaders of educational centers, and educational institutional representatives.

This event focused on the presentation of the O2 Intellectual Output: “OERs: KITS AGAINST DISCRIMINATION” and the tangible results R1: “VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THE DETECTION OF HARASSMENT AND HATE SPEECH IN THE CLASSROOM”, R2: “EXPLANATORY GUIDE OF THE ANALYSIS OF THE LEVEL OF INCIDENCE OF HATE SPEECH IN THE CLASSROOM”, and R3: “DIDACTIC PROGRAMMING FOR THE INCLUSION OF ROMA STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOM”.

The main objective of the activity was not only to make the project’s results known to the multipliers, but also that they made use of the Intellectual Output and the tangible results by testing their possibilities and involving them in their process of evaluation and improvement. It was also a good opportunity to reach and consolidate new non-formal partner organizations, enabling our access to experts, education professionals, teachers, school headmasters, etc. able to provide us with proposals for improvement, new opportunities for dissemination, and to extend the network of collaborators to strengthen the impact and use of the results.

E4: VIRTUAL MULTIPLIER EVENT

Date: 29/04/2022

Place: VALENCIA (VIRTUAL)

Organizing entity: REDTREE

Brief description:

On Friday, April 29, the fourth online Multiplier Event of the project “EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION INTO DIVERSITY, FACING SCHOOL LEAVING: INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGIES TO SUPPORT ETHNIC MINORITY STUDENTS AND STOP HATE SPEECH IN EUROPE” was held in collaboration with the Department of Didactics and School Organization of Universitat de Valencia and Professor Diana Marín.

The event was coordinated by Redtree and focused on the presentation of the O2 Intellectual Output: “OERs: KITS AGAINST DISCRIMINATION”, as well as the rest of the project’s results, aimed at teaching degree students at Universitat de Valencia.

The teaching degree students were very interested in the Open Educational Resources and the rest of the educational tools of the project, since they are aimed to facilitate their future teaching work by promoting the creation of more inclusive, and discrimination-free classrooms.

E5: MULTIPLIER EVENT

Date: 4/7/2022

Place: IES Neus Català de Cornellà

Organizing entity: REDTREE

Brief description:

On July 4, the on-site Multiplier Event of the project “EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION INTO DIVERSITY, FACING SCHOOL LEAVING: INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGIES TO SUPPORT ETHNIC MINORITY STUDENTS AND STOP HATE SPEECH IN EUROPE”, organized by Redtree, was held at IES Neus Català in Cornellà.

All the teachers and management staff of the school participated in this event, which focused on the presentation of the O2 Intellectual Output: “OERs: KITS AGAINST DISCRIMINATION”, the R1: “VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THE DETECTION OF HARASSMENT AND HATE SPEECH IN THE CLASSROOM”, and the other results of the project.

This event was very participatory, since all the teachers of the school were very interested in the project’s results and how to implement them in their classrooms. Also, it was intended to implement them through the educational project of the school.

EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION CONGRESSES

EDULEARN22

Date: July 4, 5, 6, 2022

Brief description: on July 4, 5, and 6 we presented the project and its results at EDULEARN22, the 14th Annual International Conference on Education and New Learning Technologies.

EDULEARN22 is a reference event in which hundreds of experts from 80 countries present their projects and share their knowledge on innovative teaching and learning methodologies.

Thanks to the participation in this event we were also able to promote the dissemination and impact of the project and its results to hundreds of teachers, researchers, and experts from the education sector.

ICERI2022

Brief Description: as of July 14, 2022 we have requested virtual participation in ICERI2022, the 15th Annual International Conference on Education, Research, and Innovation, to be held on November 7, 8, and 9, 2022.

ICERI is one of the largest international education conferences for teachers, researchers, technologists, and professionals in the education sector. After 15 years, it has become a reference event where more than 800 experts from 80 countries will meet to present their projects and share their knowledge on teaching and learning methodologies and educational innovations.

OFFICIAL PUBLICATIONS

The articles presented at the aforementioned educational innovation congresses have been published and indexed in academic bibliographic databases.

All accepted articles, including the one in which we present this project, have been included in the IATED Digital Library to be part of a database of innovative projects in Education and Technology.

OTHER DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES

In addition to the Multiplier Events, participation in education congresses and official publications, various dissemination activities were also carried out, such as:
